The easiest thing to do is buy a water bottle and drink alkaline water or tea throughout the day. Also, if you work on a computer, get a standing desk. Sitting is terrible for your body.
The most difficult part will be the first 6 weeks as that is when you will have to break your habits of a heavier diet rich in sugar, salt, and fats.
It is never too late to change your lifestyle. Just note that the older you get, the more difficult it is to change your habits and taste buds so be patient with yourself.
First, be empathetic with yourself. Do not punish yourself. Befriend your body and try to flush it out with lots of fluids and gut-friendly foods, like ginger shots, green tea, and fermented foods.
Constipation or dehydration typically cause gas and bloating. Magnesium is suggested before bed, which also can help you sleep. Also, prebiotics, prebiotic fiber, What Dextrin (unless you have Celiac disease), Acacia powder, Guar gum, or Beta Glucan. The body loves routine so you should sit on the toilet at the same time everyday. Your body will eventually pick up on what you are trying to do. A squatty potty is also recommended which will put you in a position that we have evolved to poop. There's a muscle that doesn't fully open up your rectum unless you are squatting. Foods that typically cause bloating include dairy and artificial sweeteners. Also, eating too quickly, short breathing, and carbonated drinks may contribute. Add foods like, fruit, fermented foods, greens, grains, aliums (onion), Lentils/beans, Sulforaphane (cruciferous vegetables). The gut is like a muscle. Some foods like FODMAPS strengthen it while other foods like artificial sweeteners weaken it. Finally, eat to suit your circadian rhythm. For example, try to leave 13 hours between dinner and breakfast without eating. Keep your larger meals in the middle of the day and keep it light at night.
Sperm counts have been reducing by 50% year over year due to the toxic environment we now live in (PFAs, pollution, etc.) and the inflammatory diet we consume. In order to keep your sperm count high, a man should ejaculate every day or at least every 3-4 days. Waiting more than 7 days can diminish the amount of sperm. Smoking cigarettes, chemotherapy, environmental toxins, alcohol (less than 4 drinks/week), marijuana can also cause a decrease in egg production. Avoid toxic behaviors, Teflon pans, paper receipts, takeout food containers, cooking in plastic, processed foods, dairy and red meat. Also, decrease chronic inflammation and stress, which all lead to autoimmune diseases. Prioritize sleep, which is when your cells repair their damage. The optimal amount of sleep is 7.5-8 hours of sleep per night.
