Our bodies fluctuate from 50% to 70% water, so approximately two-thirds of your weight is water. 70 ounces of water are recommended a day, and at least 30 ounces comes from food. You need about a quart of water every 1,000 calories you use. Obviously drinking liquids like tea and water are necessary to keep our blood moving and our nervous system working optimally. The brain is made of about 80% water as it is used to produce hormones and neurotransmitter in the brain. The best way to drink coffee is to leave it black, without sugar or milk. Instead of adding sugar and creamer, consider adding cinnamon, nutmeg, or cocoa. If you cannot tolerate the bitterness, add a plant-based milk as cow milk interferes with the anti-inflammatory effects coffee can offer. The beans should be organic to avoid synthetic pesticides. The type of roast also is important. Lighter roasts are better because the deeper the roast, the less antioxidants and polyphenols as they are removed when heated. Also, whole beans that you grind yourself are recommended as that ensures no contamination in the grinding process and leaves it much fresher.
Before eating, you should drink apple cider vinegar mixed with ginger and lemon juice which kickstarts the digestion process and could help with weight loss.
